Description:

Supbent-DP is a highly purified white clays,refined from carefully selected, highly purified naturally clay, modified and activated with special process ,developed as a thicking agent for aqueous system. There are many advantages by adding Supbent-DP as following: Viscosity Stability and Reproducibility in Emulsion and Water Soluble Systems; Prevents Pigment Settling.; Film Reinforcement Through its Unique Gel Lattice Structure.

Incorporation:

Supbent-DP additive should be introduced in the initial dispersion phase. Complete hydration in water (tepid) prior to addition of the other ingredients is a prerequisite for developing its excellent rheological properties. The recommended procedure is to disperse the additive in water until the gel structure is developed. (This requires at least 15 minutes.) The remaining ingredients can then be added (vehicle, pigment etc.) in the usual order. This product does not require a minimum activating temperature in the mill and is not heat sensitive. Full development of the gel structure must be achieved through adequate shearing. It is suggested that Supbent-DP additive be incorporated at 0.2% to 8.0% based on total system weight.

Procedures for Handling:

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Do not breathe dust from this material. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Routine housekeeping should be instituted to ensure that dusts do not accumulate on surfaces. Dry powders can build static electricity charges when subjected to the friction of transfer and mixing operations. Provide adequate precautions, such as electrical grounding and bonding, or inert atmospheres. Keep formation of airborne dusts to a minimum. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid prolonged exposure. Handle and open container with care. 

Storage:

Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Protect from moisture. Avoid dust formation. Guard against dust accumulation of this material. Keep out of the reach of children.
